MAGPIE IS HOME

I am sorry for the delay in this post.  I got into a small accident on the way to get Magpie (no one was hurt, didn’t even damage the other persons car thank goodness).  I got home just in time to settle Magpie in and wait for Deeds to get off the bus.  I wish I’d been thinking more clearly and filmed his reaction but I’ll just have to tell you instead.

When he got off the bus I leaned down to him and asked him to guess who was here.  He asked who it was and I told him Magpie.  He dropped his backpack down on the sidewalk and sprinted to the front door.  I couldn’t even keep up with him.  When he opened the door she was sitting there by it waiting for him.  He squealed and said “SHES ALL BETTER!”

They are now cuddled up together on the couch and haven’t moved for the past 30 minutes.  Everytime I look over at them I start to cry so I decided it was time to do a blog update.  I had Deeds do a little video thank you for everyone who has been so amazing praying and donating for our son and his miracle service dog.  Our home is full of love and the spirit of the season thanks to so many of you.

Magpie will be following up with her vet since there was an issue with her blood work and liver and we want to make a plan to help her achieve a full recovery if possible and be able to get back to working with her boy.  For now we are humbled and blessed to have her home again and haven’t seen Deeds this happy all week.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.  From the bottom of our hearts we cherish everything you have all done for our son and Magpie the miracle dog.

That’s so awesome!! Tell your boy I did a special story about Magpie today. The pictures aren’t of her, but they are of black labs in the snow. Really sweet. It was all I had to go with.

The story of your son and Magpie made me cry when I read it this morning on the news.

I warned my readers to be very careful of snail bait. I’m soooo glad Magpie made it!!

I’ve done a number of stories on service dogs and I think they are miracles on four legs.

    Bless you and your family.

    Love, Molie

I just started reading your blog yesterday and I ended up spending 2 hours to go back and read your story from the beginning. Your words touched my heart and I cried and laughed for joy as I read of your triumphs and setbacks. I have had Deeds and Magpie on my mind and in my prayers all day today. I am so glad she is back home with your adorable family. You are an amazing women Bobbie, thank you for your example and for sharing. May God bless you and your sweet little boy.

I just burst into tears of joy for your little boy and your family! My little boy adores his dog (Bear) and I know how sad he would’ve been if it had been his dog. Thank you for the update, and I will continue to pray for Magpies full recovery.
    Peace be with you always.
