Now that Magpie is back home with Deeds I’ve been frantically trying to study for the finals I have to take this weekend so I’m sorry this isn’t much of an update.
Amazing news is that not only did Deeds go right to bed last night but when I checked on him in the middle of the night Magpie was keeping watch over her boy. This is the first night all week Deeds has not come into our room during the night. Not even once. Just being able to have everyone get a full nights sleep has been fantastic. He also didn’t cry when the bus came today but got right on after saying goodbye to Magpie. Hopefully things will swing back into a routine with him. A routine if vital to how well Deeds can handle things are we are all much happier when our little guy is happy.
Magpie is still on 2 medications and we are keeping a close eye on her. Her next vet appointment is set and we are anxious to see how he says she is doing. At first she was kind of wabbly but she actually jumped off and on Deeds bed last night when I went to check on him with no problem. Even 2 year old little sister was so excited to see Magpie when she got home.
Got the car looked at today and I’m so thankful we have good insurance and it is fixable. Hopefully it will only take around 4 days to fix. I’m feeling some effects of the accident today and Doctor says there is some injury but I’m SO thankful that everything is turning out okay and could have been so much worse. We have been very blessed this week but are ready to put all the trials behind us and get back into our version of normalcy and celebrating the Christmas season. We have been so touched to hear from so many people that have gone through their homes and cleaned out anything that could be harmful to their pets, and this warms our heart that hopefully Magpie’s plight will serve as a warning to others.
